Here is the basic system layout, where the wall head that produces hot and cold interior air is over the door, this is all there is inside of your home. The line set and wiring are run on the outside through Line Hide conduit (that can be painted). You are looking through the wall here in this superimposed image to see the lines and outdoor unit that does most of the work. Note that lines can also be hidden in the walls and run a considerable distance to allow the outdoor unit different placement at the outside of your home..
